We are members of the [YPP], and we are planning a vernissage event in order to raise funds to send our group, including our children, to camp this summer. At the event we will be showcasing the art that we have been working on over the past few months. We would, therefore, like to invite you to participate and to assist us with this project.

YPP is a place for young parents and parents-to-be to meet and connect with other parents in a friendly, casual, non-judgmental and inviting atmosphere; it is also a space for parents to share experiences and resources as well as their hopes and fears. But most of all, we are a community: this is why the summer camp is so important to us! At the vernissage we will showcase the photos from a photovoice project that we are about to embark on. Through this project, we intend to reclaim the representation of our identities as young parents, and to subvert common assumptions around parenthood and who we are.

Hence, your contribution would not only be of great assistance to our project, but we believe that it would also benefit your company/organization/business with visibility at our event, as well as with public recognition and social awareness of your interest in and support of our group.

We are currently seeking [food/venue/prints of our artwork/textile for linen] donations/ assistance with prompting our event / monetary donations to help us plan and organize our vernissage. Thus, we are attaching to this letter a sponsorship visibility plan and a donation break-down to show how a little gesture can go a long way. We can provide tax receipts for monetary donations $20 and above. Furthermore we would be happy to include your logo and to acknowledge your contribution in our advertisement materials and at the actual event.
